Happy Diwali!!

Let me first highlight the difference.
Diwali - used widely in North India.
Deepavali - used widely in South India (e.g. Tamils) hence in Malaysia, "deepavali" is most commonly used.

As I love most things North Indian, (food, clothings, accessories, langugage, boys LOL, etc.),
Diwali it is for me!

Diwali or Deepavali, it doesn't matter at all.
What matters is they call it (also known as) the festival of lights.
If you are not familiar with Diwali celebrations and the history/origin of it,

And during festival seasons as such, I only look forward to ad campaigns from one company - Petronas.
(hehe... other than food and candies, etc. of course!)

If you did not already know, Petronas multi cultural and multi racial tear-jerking advertisements are usually a big hit between Malaysians and Malaysians living abroad.
However, for Diwali this year, Petronas has decided to focus on off-air interesting fun-filled activities for families and everybody else!

This is what's in store for Diwali 2012:

A special Diwali greeting by Sharifah Amani....

All activities below are taking place at Galeri Petronas, Suria KLCC.

*GASP*
(henna, art of wearing a sari, classical indian music performances - OMG. Those who know me will know I'm a real sucker for these things!)

Anyway, I shall end my Diwali blog post with a nice Hindi song from one of the latest Hindi films I've watched titled "Student of the Year" by Karan Johar.
Song: Ishq Wala Love
(english translation: Love that's about love)
Like how much cornier can it get, right?
Love the colours, accessories and traditional costumes, nevertheless!
Oooh and not forgetting the super hot actors and actresses.

To all celebraing Diwali,
Happy Diwali!

And of the rest of us.... happy holidays and wait for Christmas.
LOL.
